LET'S GO WEST!!!
If this is your first visit to the TEENS WESTWARD BOUND web site….. We are glad you are here!! This site is primarily for applicants that have been recommended for the 2013 Teens Westward Bound Program and those that have been fortunate enough to be preaccepted for this summer’s experience. Letter of invitation for this summer's Teens Westward Bound Program will be sent out after January 4, 2013. If you are considering applying for the TWB Program the Selection Committee high recommends that you attend one of the "Fun Presentations" with a parent and wait until after the presentation before turning in your application and letters of recommendations. Family members and those that are wishing to apply to go on the incredible TWB program this summer (2013) will find some “fun facts” too as you surf our site. Of course past participants will always find our new updates in the "Past Participant Section".
The dates for the 2013 Teens Westward Bound program will be from June 15th until July 7th for the first TWB experience. The second TWB Trek will be from June 17th until July 9th.
CHECK OUT THE BLOG!! Last summer Teens Westward Bound developed and an online TWB day by day “Travel Blog”. During the twenty-day experience of traveling our great country last summer our friends and family were able to visit the Teens Westward Bound web site each day and see pictures and journal entries that were written by the participants. To say that it was viewed constantly is an understatement. During our twenty-three day jaunt across America we receive over 272,000 unique page views!! Even thought we didn’t talk to them every day our friends and family watched us every day. At the top of this page click on the TRAVEL BLOG of one of the treks and you will be able to go to each day and relive a day in the life of a TWB’er.
Please feel free to browse this official TWB Homepage. We have some new things that we think will be helpful, such as the FAQ section for parents and friends of the 2012 participants. We will be posting the 2013 TWB Presentation Schedule in early January. Come back often because our webmasters (Denny and Grant) are constantly adding and changing things.
